My name is Pastelle (past - el).I am a professional singer and composer. In 2016, I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Music in addition to my Foundation Certificate in Sound Technology. I have been writing songs, producing music and collaborating with other artists both online and offline since 2008.I'm a huge fan of fantasy and sci-fi media. During my formative years, I treasured movies like The Lord of the Rings, The Last Unicorn, The Labyrinth, The NeverEnding Story, The Princess Bride, Interview with a Vampire, Alien and K-PAX, among others. I adore dark anime, such as Berserk, Claymore and Death Note, along with the cheerier overtones of Studio Ghibli and Frieren: Beyond Journey's End.My early childhood included many nights observing my dad playing Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate. I've been in the online gaming scene for a long time, starting with Neopets in 1999 and graduating to favorited adventure RPGs like The Elder Scrolls and Fable series, The Witcher and later Zelda: Breath of the Wild.I draw inspiration from the rich tapestry of stories that shaped my upbringing. I consider myself a storyteller first and foremost, and I possess an undying passion for creating musical narratives that explore diverse worlds, nature, fictional characters, and the vast expanse of outer space. Additionally, I am active as a Twitch streamer and have experience providing voice work for various projects such as audiobook narrations, professional tutorials and video game mods.My vocal work spans across many different genres, from haunting and ethereal dance music, to the electrified textures of synthwave, to the moody attitude of dark pop. I don't like feeling "boxed in" as an artist, and I remain fully committed to exploring the vast landscape that music has to offer. In the last decade, I've accomplished so many dreams: a full album, Flora & Fauna, inspired by Celtic folklore, the ocean, and our planet; an EP, Biosignature, that delves into the emotive themes behind artificial intelligence, dystopia, and cosmic exploration. First and foremost, I am a storyteller.When I was a child, I was always telling stories that I conjured out of thin air. Like all children, I had a boundless imagination that I did not know how to harness - that is, until I learned how to transform these epic tales and wild ideas into pieces of music!Over time, and as I matured in my quest to study music more deeply, I wanted more than just to illustrate my own stories but to bring the inner worlds of others to light, too. I specialize in character themes (Dungeons & Dragons), sound design for streams (such as background music and alerts), podcast scoring, and pretty much anything in the realm of fantasy, science ficton and world music.I am also a vocalist for hire. Descriptively, I have a pure-tone voice that adds mystery and intrigue to music, especially tracks with ethereal or dark vibes. I would describe my voice like clear water, with a touch of allure and sensuality (if the instrumental calls for it).
